NZ Hazelnut Oil

Did you know Hazelnut oil is a binding ingredient? Well, it is and this makes it ideal for oily and breakout prone skin as it helps cleanse your skin, tighten your pores, and dries out excess oil. And it's locally sourced from Marlborough. 

NZ Kanuka Oil

Guess what, Kanuka oil is ideal for healing acne prone skin due to it’s antimicrobial and healing properties. All the meanwhile, having a calming and relaxing scent. Added bonus, it's a locally sourced New Zealand botanical extract.

Vitamin E

[say it like] vai•tah•muhn e

A lover of vitamins and for good reason. Vitamin E is a fatty acid and an antioxidant so it double downs on being super nourishing for your skin. It protects against free radical damage, fights inflammation and boosts skin healing. And this natural vitamin E is derived from soybean oil through a non-chemical process before being blended with sunflower seed oil (oh, technology). The manufacturer for this material is a member of the round table on responsible soy (RTRS), and are “fully committed to the principles of environmental responsibility and good agricultural practices". It has the Tailor tick. 

Coconut Oil

The smooth talker. Coconut oil is used as an emollient and is very moisturising for your skin. It's an amazing all-round ingredient, and is ultra hydrating and moisturising for your skin. It helps reduce flakiness, restores suppleness and helps protect your skin from water loss. Plus, it's an organic ingredient. A dry skin must-have, FYI.

Sunflower Seed Oil

Sunflower seed oil is rich in both linoleic and oleic acids, and vitamin E. It easily penetrates your skin for deep moisturising and reduces inflammation. Antioxidant properties fight signs of ageing caused by free radical damage.

Rosemary Flower Extract

I'm not sure if you know this, but rosemary flower extract has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, as well as skin stimulating and moisturising benefits. 

How to Use

Use Oil Cleanse once daily, on dry (not wet) skin by massaging it in to cleanse skin and remove daily grime including SPF and makeup (even waterproof mascara). Be gentle around your eye area. With a warm, damp Tailor Towel gently wipe the face and neck.

I'm also an occlusive and this means I can assist in sealing moisture into your skin, rather than stripping it away. This is ideal for dehydrated skin as this skin type indicates a lack of water, so you'll want me on your skin to support your moisture.

Uneven skin

My nutritious fatty oils are bursting with antioxidants which are essential for fighting free radicals (AKA harming your skin) from environmental stressors. Delivered with a pump to dispense product. Right now, these pumps cannot be recycled. Disposable by a specialised recycling program such as Terracycle for responsible disposal.

My skin type is oily, why would I use an oil cleanser?

A very frequent misconception. An oil cleanser will replace dirty oils with clean healthy oils, encouraging the skin to balance natural oil production. This equals happy skin.

Will my skin breakout using an oil cleanser?

Yes, this can be normal to experience. It is called a purge where you will see your skin often get worse before it gets better. This means a tendency to break out while the cleansing oil draws residual build up from the skin. The purge stage usually lasts between two to three days but in some cases can last up to two weeks depending on the amount of underlying skin congestion. During the purge stage it is important to understand that this oil flow is normal and a sign that your skin is restoring balance and will start to lose its thick congested appearance.

Are your products natural?

The golden question. We combine natural, active ingredients with scientific formulations. Our formulas are 96-100% natural. We are also transparent and have included the % of natural ingredients on the front of the packaging so you know exactly what's in your skincare.

Are your products vegan and cruelty free?

Yes, vegan, cruelty-free, and absolutely NO animal testing (we don’t even ask our pets if our skin looks nice).

When should I start seeing results?

"Product smells lovely, glides onto the skin really nicely too! Unfortunately it doesn’t remove all the makeup. I use concealer, pressed powder, blush, mascara and brow pencil. It will take off the brown pencil and half the mascara but it leaves all rest.
