2026 is the year of new products for Tailor Skincare and we don’t add to our range unless it’s truly needed - every launch must earn its place.
We’re starting strong with the introduction of a milky toner: natural, fragrance-free, and packed with barrier-focused ingredients, all housed in our iconic blue glass bottle.
And because we’ve always believed in transparency with our Tailor community, we’re once again opening the curtain and taking you behind the scenes of how Dew Drop was created and how it works to leave skin hydrated, plump, and naturally dewy.
The toner category has evolved
Let’s start here. Traditional toners vs. new-generation toners:
Traditional toners:
Often alcohol-based and designed to strip oil and “refresh” the skin post-cleanse. While they can leave skin feeling clean, they may also disrupt the skin barrier and contribute to dryness and sensitivity over time.
New-generation toners:
Barrier-supporting, hydrating, and treatment-led. Formulated with skin-benefiting actives to deliver moisture, calm irritation, and strengthen the skin barrier - all in a lightweight, fast-absorbing step.

This evolution is exactly why toners now align with Tailor’s barrier-focused philosophy. And it’s also why, for years, when you’ve asked why we didn’t have one - this is the reason.
Why *now* is the right time for a natural milky toner
As a barrier-focused brand, it’s only now that a milky toner truly earns its place in your routine and fills a gap in our intentionally concise range.
The formulation process wasn’t straightforward. We originally scoped it as a mist, but couldn’t achieve the level of skin benefits we were aiming for, and it also presented stability challenges.
So it evolved into a more viscous milky format, while still delivering key naturally derived actives to achieve the results we set out to create.
Not just another milky toner
When you look at the number of toners already on the market, it becomes clear why we needed to go deeper to identify what was still missing.
And as it turns out, quite a lot.
It had to be naturally derived, and we achieved 95.8% natural origin - a non-negotiable for us, and a clear point of difference among the popular milky toners.
With barrier health becoming a growing concern for consumers, it also had to be fragrance-free, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and breakout-prone skin.
And as always, it needed to be multi-functional. This isn’t a one-step product - it supports hydration, barrier health, texture, and redness, while also preparing skin for enhancing absorption of the products that follow and smoother makeup application.
Milky toners are often framed as a trend for younger skin, but in reality every skin benefits. As we age, lipids decline, moisture retention weakens, and sensitivity increases - making barrier support not just beneficial, but essential at every stage of skin health.
The barrier rebuilder...
So what’s in it?
We took a similar approach to our best-selling Restore (melatonin night balm), starting not with ingredients, but with biology. What the skin loses over time, and how we can support its natural function so it performs more like our younger skin.
At the core of Dew Drop is our ceramide trio (NP, AP, EOP): skin-identical lipids that mirror what the skin naturally produces. As ceramide levels decline with age, the barrier becomes more fragile - these act as structural reinforcement, helping restore integrity, lock in moisture, and improve overall resilience.
To help defend against modern-day stressors, we added ectoin - a protective active that supports the skin against environmental aggressors like pollution and blue light exposure. It forms a moisture-binding shield, helping reduce sensitivity while maintaining long-lasting hydration and comfort.
Centella (cica), a Korean skincare staple, delivers powerful soothing benefits, helping calm visible irritation, reduce redness, and support the skin’s natural repair processes. As the barrier naturally becomes more delicate with age, this added support becomes increasingly important.
Plant-based PDRN, another Korean active boosts collagen and your skins natural renewal processes.
Niacinamide, a multi-tasking active that helps brighten skin tone, refine the look of pores, and support a stronger, healthier skin barrier while calming visible redness.
Beyond the hero actives, the supporting structure of the formula is just as important. A water base forms the foundation, enhanced with carefully selected humectants, emollients, and skin-conditioning agents to optimise delivery and performance. Stabilising systems ensure safety, consistency, and efficacy from first use to last.
Dew Drop is fragrance-free to reduce the risk of irritation and support skin compatibility, including sensitive and reactive skin.
Packaging, considered.
Dew Drop sits within our existing Tailor packaging system, the same blue glass used across our Oil Cleanse and Moisture. Durable, timeless, and widely recyclable through standard curbside recycling.
The outer carton introduces something new: a pearl-coated finish designed to reflect the soft, milky luminosity of the formula inside. It’s the most environmentally considered way to achieve this effect - elevated in appearance, without compromising recyclability. While the coating means it isn’t compostable or biodegradable, the carton remains curbside recyclable.
