Tailored [skin-loving] Ingredients

Bakuchiol

[say it like] bah•koo•chee•oi•ill

Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to retinol that mimics the benefits without the negative impacts (redness, dryness, sun sensitivity). It helps boost collagen and reduce scarring and fine lines.

Hemp seed oil

[say it like] hemp seed oi•ill

Hemp seed oil is rich in both omega 3 and 6 and provides long-lasting moisture. With continuous use over time, it helps improve your skin's ability to retain moisture. Plus, it's an organic ingredient, and it's locally sourced from Manawatu.

Olive squalane

[say it like] ol•ive squah•lane

Squalene is a naturally occurring anti-ageing component of the skin. Your skin produces less as you age, but luckily it can be replenished by adding it into your skincare routine. It moisturises and encourages your skin to balance natural oil production.

Milk thistle ester

[say it like] milk thi•sl eh•stir

Milk thistle ester is a natural alternative to silicone, which locks in moisture and protects your skin from environmental stressors and pollution. It has antioxidant and calming effects, and helps protect your skin from UV light exposure.

Jojoba oil

[say it like] ho•ho•bah oi•ill

Jojoba oil is a liquid wax and a natural occlusive agent, which moisturises, nourishes and protects your skin. Jojoba oil is a similar consistency to your skin's natural oils, making it a great option for oily skin as it helps to regulate sebum (oil) production and is non-comedogenic (meaning it won't clog your pores).

Meadowfoam seed

[say it like] med•owh•foam seed

Meadowfoam seed oil is formulated with nutritious fatty acids to deeply moisturise and protect your skin from water loss to keep your skin hydrated for longer.

Bisabolol

[say it like] bys•a•bowl•ol

Bisabolol is found naturally in german chamomile and candeia. It soothes irritation, stimulates skin healing and helps prevent signs of ageing. It’s anti-microbial properties make it super beneficial for acne prone skin.

Jasmine oil

[say it like] jaz•muhn oi•ill

Jasmine is a premium oil, ideal for dry or sensitive skin. It moisturises and protects your skin. It has a unique scent that is calming and uplifting.

Frankincense

[say it like] frang•kuhn•sens oi•ill

Frankincense oil is incredible for ageing skin, as it stimulates regeneration and healing. It has a unique, calming scent that is loved for meditation.

Vitamin E

[say it like] vai•tah•muhn e

A lover of vitamins and for good reason. This fatty acid and antioxidant doubles down on being super nourishing for your skin. It protects against free radical damage, fights inflammation and boosts skin healing. And this natural vitamin E is derived from soybean oil through a non-chemical process before being blended with sunflower seed oil (oh, technology). The manufacturer for this material is a member of the round table on responsible soy (RTRS), and are “fully committed to the principles of environmental responsibility and good agricultural practices".

How to Use

Apply 2 pumps to face and neck after serums and/or in place of your moisturiser.

Multi-targeting

Because who has one skin type / concern these days. Tailor is for everyone (yes, that includes your partner that sneakily uses it anyway), click on your skin type and we'll tell you why.

Breakout prone

I will fight any bacteria in your skin, soothing any inflammation. While protecting your skin, as squalene will deeply moisturise and hemp seed oil will lock all this moisture into your skin. Squalene will also help balance your natural oil production, preventing pores from clogging.

Dry skin

Did you know dry skin indicates a lack of oils? Don't worry, my nutritious oils will feed and nourish your skin, moisturising your skin while hemp seed oil locks it all in.

Oily skin

On the contrary to what you may believe, oily skin types especially need me. My Squalene will help balance your natural oil production, preventing any clogging of your pores (hello breakouts).

Ageing skin

Did you know you produce less collagen in your skin as you age? Don't worry, Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol, boosts collagen production and cell turnover in your skin, for a more youthful complexion. Meanwhile, reducing any fine lines and scarring. But wait there's more, Squalene is produced less by your skin as you age, but luckily this can be replenished by adding it into your skincare routine. FYI, Illume is essential for your skin.

Combination skin

Parts of your skin are oily and parts of your skin are dry. I have Squalane in my formula, which will help balance your natural oil production, preventing any clogging of pores (hello breakouts). Meanwhile, my nurtirious oils will feed and nourish your skin, moisturising your skin, for Hemp seed oil locks it all in.

Dehydrated skin

Hemp seed oil helps lock in all moisture in your skin, creating a barrier which helps prevent water loss, which is important as dehydrated skin indicates a lack of water in your skin. It really does take a village.

Uneven skin

Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol will help reduce scarring in your skin, to promote a more even skin tone, for a healthier and more youthful complexion.

Normal Skin

Your skin type is the easiest to please. I will visibly plump and refine your skin, reduce any fine lines and scarring, and boost collagen production and cell turnover in your skin. FYI, you take advantage of all my benefits.

Sensitive Skin

I am super kind for your skin type, as I have a gentle natural alternative to retinol, that mimics the benefits, without the negative impacts (redness, dryness, sun sensitivity). While hemp seed oil will soothe any inflammation in your skin. As always, we recommend to patch test first.

The mission is clear. It’s literally in the name.

To offer skincare that’s tailored to your skin.

Tailored skincare means concise skincare. Multi-purpose products made to treat multiple skin concerns, in multiple ways, without needing to buy multiple bottles. Think a mask that works as an exfoliator and a spot treatment, a hyaluronic acid serum that is also a primer or a moisturiser that’s also an eye serum and an overnight mask.

When each product can work in multiple ways, it saves you buying a million products you’re never going to use. Buy stuff that works. And then works in another way. And another. And on the shelf.

Buy less, buy Tailor.
