ALOE VERA Aloe Barbadensis

Aloe Vera is used for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It reduces redness and irritation while boosting skin glow. It’s deeply hydrating and moisturising.

BAKUCHIOL
Found in: Illume
Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to retinol that mimics the benefits without the negative impacts (redness, dryness, sun sensitivity). It helps boost collagen and reduce scarring and fine lines.

BENTONITE CLAY
Found in: Polish
Bentonite clay is a super absorbent clay that soaks up excess oils and impurities. Locally sourced from Hawke’s Bay.

BISABOLOL
Found in: Illume
Bisabolol is found naturally in German Chamomile and Candeia. It soothes irritation, stimulates skin healing and helps prevent signs of ageing. It’s antimicrobial properties make it super beneficial for acne prone skin. 

BLACK FERN Cyathea Medullaris
Found in: Restore
Black fern works to rapidly hydrate your skin, while immediately lifting and tightening your skin.

CAFFEINE EXTRACT
Found in: Awaken
Caffeine is an antioxidant that revives the eye area by reducing the appearance of dark circles and decreasing puffiness. It helps stop the damage caused by UV radiation, sun exposure and free radicals. Actively fighting signs of ageing.

Citric acid is derived from citrus fruits, and is used as a pH balancer to stop products from being too alkaline or basic.

COCOA SEED BUTTER Theobroma Cacao
Found in: Moisture
Cocoa butter is a natural fat that protects your skin to promote healing while forming a barrier to stop water loss and retain moisture. Unrefined organic ingredient. 

COCONUT OIL Cocos Nucifera, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides
Found in: Oil Cleanse, Awaken, Restore, Gel Cleanse
Coconut oil is an amazing all round ingredient, and is ultra hydrating and moisturising for your skin. It helps reduce flakiness, restores suppleness and helps protect your skin from water loss. Organic ingredient.  

CoQ10 Ubidecarenone
Found in: Gold Dust
CoQ10 is a cellular energiser and antioxidant that can reduce the visible oxidative damage caused by UV rays and even decrease the depth of wrinkles.

FRAGRANCE Natural

Our fragrance is a bespoke blend of extracts of essential oil chosen for their relaxing and soothing properties. All the ingredients in our fragrance are derived from natural sources.

FRANKINCENSE OIL Boswellia Carteri
Found in: Illume
Frankincense is an incredible oil for ageing skin, as it stimulates regeneration and healing. It has a unique, calming scent that is loved for meditation. 

GLUCOSIDE Coco-glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside
Found in: Gel Cleanse
Our glucosides are naturally derived from glucose. They’re used to gently cleanse and moisturise.

GLYCERIN
Found in: Renew, Moisture, Polish, Awaken, Restore, Gel Cleanse
Our glycerin is sourced from organic coconut oil, and is a humectant that prevents water loss in your skin to keep it hydrated and moisturised for longer. 

GOTU KOLA Centella Asiatica
Found in: Restore
Gotu kola works to deeply brighten your skin, while reducing pigmentation over time. It’s a powerful antioxidant, which fights off free radical damage.

GRAPE SEED EXTRACT Vitis Vinifera
Found in: Renew
Grape seed extract is antioxidant-rich and defends the skin against UV free radical damage and improves elasticity and firmness to reduce signs of ageing. Locally sourced from New Zealand.  

GRAPE SEED OIL Vitis Vinifera
Found in: Renew, Moisture, Restore
Grape seed oil nourishes dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness. Locally sourced from Marlborough. 

GREEN TEA EXTRACT Camellia Sinensis
Found in: Gel Cleanse
Green Tea Extract is a potent antioxidant that defends your skin against UV damage and repairs damage. It soothes redness, irritation and  swelling.

HAZELNUT OIL Corylus Americana/Avellana
Found in: Oil Cleanse, Moisture
Hazelnut oil is an astringent which is ideal for oily and breakout prone skin as it helps cleanse your skin, tightens pores, and dries out oil. Locally sourced from Marlborough.

HEMP SEED OIL Cannabis Sativa 
Found in: Illume
Hemp seed oil is rich in both omega 3 and 6 and provides long-lasting moisture. With continuous use over time, it helps improve your skin's ability to retain moisture. Organic ingredient, locally sourced from Manawatu. 

HYALURONIC ACID
Found in: Hydrate, Awaken
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that naturally occurs in our bodies. It actively draws water into the skin (up to 1000x its weight) to plump your skin, reduce fine lines and deeply hydrate.

JASMINE OIL Jasminum Officinale
Found in: Illume
Jasmine is a premium oil, ideal for dry or sensitive skin. It moisturises and protects your skin. It has a unique scent that is calming and uplifting.  

JOJOBA SEED OIL Simmondsia Chinensis
Found in: Renew, Illume, Awaken, Moisture, Restore
Jojoba oil is a liquid wax and a natural occlusive agent, which moisturises, nourishes and protects your skin. Jojoba oil is a similar consistency to your skin's natural oils, making it a great option for oily skin as it helps to regulate sebum (oil) production and is non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog your pores). Organic ingredient.  

KANUKA ESSENTIAL OIL Kunzea Ericoides
Found in: Oil Cleanse
Kanuka oil is amazing for healing acne prone skin due to it’s antimicrobial and healing properties. It has a calming and relaxing scent. Locally sourced New Zealand botanical extract.  

KOWHAI EXTRACT Sophora Microphylla
Found in: Hydrate
Kowhai extract soothes inflammation and fights bacteria, which is key for acne prone skin plus irritating skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis. Locally sourced New Zealand botanical extract.  

LIQUORICE ROOT Glycyrrhiza Glabra
Found in: Restore
Liquorice root visibly brightens skin, reduces hyper-pigmentation and restores after sun damage.

MELATONIN

Mica is a shimmery powder made from ground natural earth mineral. Our mica is sourced responsibly via the responsible mica initiative.

MILK THISTLE ESTER Silybum Marianum Ethyl

Milk thistle ester is a natural alternative to silicone, which locks in moisture and protects your skin from environmental stressors and pollution. It has antioxidant and calming effects, and helps protect your skin from UV light exposure. 

OAT PROTEIN Hydrolyzed Oat Protein
Found in: Gel Cleanse
Oat Protein is used to soften, condition and moisturise your skin. It helps your skin better retain moisture and hydration.

OLIVE SQUALANE
Found in: Illume, Restore
Squalane is a naturally occurring anti-ageing component of the skin. Your skin produces less as you age, but luckily it can be replenished by adding it into your skincare routine. It moisturises and encourages your skin to balance natural oil production.

POLYSACCHARIDES Anhydroxylitol, Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba, Sclerotium Gum, Xanthan Gum, Xylitol, Xylitylglucoside

Probiotics stimulate natural skin cell regeneration, strengthens the skin's protective barrier for enhanced resilience, reduces sensitivity and helps to clear blemishes. This ingredient is amazing for fighting acne, signs of ageing and damaged skin.

RED SEAWEED Sarcothalia Circumcincta

Red seaweed hydrates and plumps the skin plus locks in moisture. Leaves skin feeling soft, dewy, and refreshed. Locally sourced.

ROSEHIP OIL Rosa Canina Fruit
Found in: Moisture
Rosehip oil contains essential vitamins including vitamin C and beta-carotene (a form of vitamin A). Rosehip oil deeply nourishing and moisturising, and helps reduce signs of ageing by encouraging skin renewal and fighting sun damage.

ROSEMARY FLOWER EXTRACT Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary extract is used for it’s antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, as well as it’s skin stimulating and moisturising benefits. 

SALICYLIC ACID
Found in: Polish Scrub & Mask 
Salicylic acid is a BHA chemical exfoliant which works on both the surface and deeper layers of your skin to break down congestion, reduce sebum and unclog pores. It soothes irritation, redness and puffiness, ideal for breakout prone skin.

SHEA BUTTER Butyrospermum Parkii

Shea butter is a super nourishing ingredient that moisturises and smooths dry and irritated skin. It creates a protective barrier to lock in hydration.

SUNFLOWER SEED OIL Helianthus Annuus
Found in: Oil Cleanse, Restore
Sunflower seed oil is rich in both linoleic and oleic acids, as well as vitamin E. It easily penetrates your skin for deep moisturising and reduces inflammation. Antioxidant properties fight signs of ageing caused by free radical damage. 

VITAMIN B3 Niacinamide
Found in: Hydrate Serum
Vitamin B3 reduces signs of ageing by brightening, increasing collagen production and reducing hyperpigmentation. For breakout prone skin, it balances oil production plus reduces enlarged pores, redness and inflammation. It increases skin barrier function, for reduced sensitivity and increased hydration preservation.

VITAMIN C Ascorbic Acid

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant which has shown to boost collagen while lighting and brightening the complexion. It helps fight against free radical damage to prevent signs of ageing.

VITAMIN E D Alpha Tocopherol
Found in: Oil Cleanse, Moisture, Illume, Awaken, Restore
Vitamin E is a fatty acid and an antioxidant so it is doubly nourishing for the skin. It protects against free radical damage, fights inflammation and boosts skin healing. Our natural vitamin E is derived from soybean oil via a non-chemical process before being blended with sunflower seed oil. The manufacturer for this material is a member of the round table on responsible soy (RTRS), and are “fully committed to the principles of environmental responsibility and good agricultural practices".

WATER Aqua
Found in: Hydrate, Polish, Moisture, Renew, Awaken, Restore, Gel Cleanse
Water is used as the base of many skincare products as a solvent, which is what the other ingredients dissolve into to create the formula. 

EMOLLIENTS 
Emollients are ingredients that help soften, smooth and condition your skin.
Cetearyl Alcohol (Awaken), Cetyl Palmitate (Moisture), Hydrogenated Lecithin (Renew), Polyglyceryl-3 Stearate (Renew), Sodium Levulinate (Moisture)

EMULSIFIERS
Emulsifiers are ingredients that help keep unlike ingredients (like oil and water) from separating. Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Renew, Awaken, Restore), Lysolecithin (Renew), Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate (Awaken, Restore), Sorbitan Olivate (Moisture), Sorbitan Palmitate (Moisture)

PRESERVATIVES
Preservatives are ingredients that keep your skincare safe and free from bacteria, particularly in water-based formulas. Without them, your product would need to be kept in the fridge and they wouldn't last longer than a couple of weeks.

Texture enhancers are ingredients that make formulas feel smooth to apply, and often double as a thickener, emulsifier, stabiliser or surfactant.
